A night in Fayettville, Arkansas to catch up with Larry and Marlene Linn.

Oklahoma
We are on our way to Missouri to meet up with brother Larry and Jean for a week of fishing, golf and whatever at a resort on Lake of the Ozarks. We stopped for a day in Oklahoma City to break up the trip and enjoy the sights the city has to offer.
The first stop of course was t
he Memorial for victims of the the bombing of the Murrah building in 1995. Was a sobering museum. We took in the National Cowboy Heritage Museum
which just happened to be hosting its annual Chuckwagon Days. Memorable museum describing the western lifestyle, important western art and history of the cowboy. Chuckwagon festival was serving up beans and fixin's the way they use to on the ranch! We couldn't pass up the city Art Museum and its permanent collection of Dale Chihuly glass. We even had time to catch Harrison
Ford in the latest "Indiana Jones" movie. What a fun romp.

Montlure work camp
On May 17th thru the 20th, 8 St Andrews Presbyterian friends made the trip to northeast Arizona, up in the White Mountains near Greer to Montlure Presbyterian Youth Camp as a work crew to help get the youth camp ready for summer season. It is in a beautiful location amid the tall pines next to a bubbling trout stream in Sitgreves National Forest.
We had a good time together in spite of the frosty mornings, aching bones, and hard beds. We raked truck loads of pine needles from the "lawns", installed a humongous basketball pole and hoop setup, washed windows, fixed leaky toilets, repaired bunks, and did a myriad of maint
enance jobs getting the place ready for all those Presbyterian kids to enjoy. Enjoyed the satisfac
tion of a job well done.

Arizona visitors

Look what showed up on our friend's, Skip and Connie's patio!! Connie just happened to be outside trying out her new camera telephoto lens when the bobcat jumped up on the wall. What are the chances.
This little guy is a regular at our patio. He has gotten very use to us and doesn't frighten easily. We have regular conversations. I talk to him and

Now Blogging for another season
Time to fire up the blog again!! We haven't been idle the last 6 months but have stayed pretty close to home except for a few short trips in and out. We have enjoyed some winter visitors, family and friends from Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Florida and Oregon. The kiddos were all here for Christmas and
that was such a joy!
Arizona is amazing right now. Warm sun, (for a while yet) cool nights, and the desert is a blaze of color. Birding is wonderful. We have taken some spectacular hikes in the area this spring. Top of the list has to be a day hike to Aravaipa Canyon. Come and hike with us!!
