Durango to Silverton Narrowgauge Railroad

All day trip from Durango to Silverton through San Juan National Forest. The steam engine chugged up the mountain following the Animas River Gorge for some great views. We had to brush some cinders out of our hair but was a great time. Time for lunch in Silverton and a short hike around the historic district then back down the mountain again.
