The RV arrived at the rendezvous point in Alpine, CA about 40 plus miles out of San Diego at noon on Monday. Jay and Verna flew into San Diego airport and Orwyn and Sue DeBoer, cousins living in Escondido graciously picked them up and drove them to Alpine. Spent the afternoon packing and repacking gear, setting up bikes, catching up on family news, moving into the RV, and thoroughly enjoying visiting with each other. We all headed over to the local casino for a quick dinner together before Sue and Orwyn headed home and the rest of us settled in for an early night of excited sleep.
